BIOGRAPHY

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Nataliia Koliada studied at the Lviv Krushelnytska State Music Lyceum. While studying at school, she regularly performed as a soloist with symphonic and chamber orchestras in Ukraine. She continued at the National Music Academy in Kyiv, studying with Professor Anatolii Bazhenov. The violinist earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees there.

In 2018, she participated in the program ‘Gaude Polonia’ at the Music Academy named after K. Szymanowski, under the guidance of Professor K. Lason. As a student, she completed her musical project ‘Miedzy wiekami’ in Poland (Katowice, Warsaw, Poznan).

Finishing her postgraduate studies in 2022, Nataliia acquired the academic title Doctor of Art at the National Music Academy in Kyiv.

She was one of the leaders of the National Chamber Ensemble ‘Kyiv Soloist’ in 2021-2022.
She collaborated also with the Opole Symphony Orchestra, the New Music Orchestra in Katowice, the Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, the Arctic Sinfonietta.

Nataliia currently resides in Norway and collaborates with the Arctic Philharmonic. Nataliia’s violin has been heard on stages in 20 countries, including Switzerland, Austria, Germany, China, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Iceland, among others. Her success in concerts reflects her dedication to excellence and her ability to captivate audiences with her artistry.

Nataliia was awarded laureate prizes at:
• International Competition ‘Remember G. Enescu’ (Romania, 2001)
• Ukrainian competition named after M. Striharzh (Ukraine, 2004)
• Ukrainian competition ‘New Names of Ukraine’ (Ukraine, 2004)
• International competition B. Varhal’s ‘Talents for Europe’ (Slovakia, 2007)
• III prize at the X International Competition ‘Franz Schubert’ (Bulgaria,2015)
• III prize at X International Competition ‘ProArt-2018’ (Ukraine, 2018)
• II Prize at the Ukrainian Competition-festival named after O. Gorohov (Ukraine, 2021)
• III Prize at the International Competition L. van Beethoven (Austria, 2021)
